Submissions

What We Publish

We accept flash fiction, short stories, creative nonfiction, one-act plays, and poetry. For all submissions:

a. Multiple and simultaneous submissions are fine, but tell us if you will be published elsewhere.

b. Times New Roman, size 12, double-spaced font 

c. Page numbers in the header

d. Title middle-aligned at top of first page

e. No identifying information anywhere on the document 

Page Limits

a. Flash Fiction: 1,000 words max

b. Short Stories: 20 pages max

c. Creative Nonfiction: 20 pages max

d. One-Act Plays: 10 pages max

e. Poetry: 8 pages max, each poem on a new page

Content Advisory

a. Graphic language and sexual content should be thematically relevant.

b. Please include a trigger warning at the top of your submission if it includes such content. 

c. Please refrain from glorifying suicide and or mental illness. 

How to Submit 

a. Send as a .doc, .docx, or Google Doc to lodestarlit@gmail.com. 

b. Subject Header: Submission Type, "Title"

c. Email Body: 250-word maximum author bio and pronouns.
